A volunteer’s primary tasks consist of putting out horses and hay in the morning, cleaning the animals living areas- paddocks and stalls. This means shoveling and scooping lots of poop, scrubbing water buckets and refilling them in the stalls and paddocks, cleaning feed buckets, sweeping areas, replacing bedding, and setting up the stalls for the animals for the evening. A commitment of 4 shifts per month (2 hours per shift) am or pm with responsibilities that include, feeding, stall/paddock cleaning, watering and general care of the farm. Shift are available for AM from 8:30-11:00 and for PM from 4:00-6:00, 7 days a week in all weather conditions. Volunteers must be 18 years or older to volunteer.
