Through this program, we distribute coats to veterans in need to help make sure that they are safe from the unforgiving winter weather. Coats4Vets is made possible through the generous donations from Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation.

These contain nonperishable and well-balanced meals. Each food package contains enough food and nutritional value for two people to have three meals a day for 14 days.

We believe that the youth is among the most vulnerable members of veteran and military families, as they are affected by almost every situation and decision. Neighborhood Falmouth relies on our dedicated volunteers and always welcomes more to our growing organization. Volunteers help our members stay connected with the community and live safely and comfortably in their own homes. Volunteers provide transportation to stores, weekly appointments, and social events; they also enjoy visiting our members and helping in their homes.

Our volunteers make a difference in the lives of our members by providing Cape-wide transportation, handyman services, friendly visits, and computer help.

Not being able to drive is such a limitation on a person’s well-being and engagement in the community. By offering rides, we are able to make a difference—rides to the doctor, to the hair salon, to the gym are examples.

Our village also requires individuals who can perform administrative tasks either working on one of our support teams or in daily operations as a service coordinator. Service coordinator roles require access to a computer to log in to our website software. This role can be performed from your home.

Older persons can find using computers and smart phones challenging, but a little help by answering questions can make such a difference.

Some tasks around home are difficult to do by oneself or as one ages. Help with changing lightbulbs, installing a storm window or screen, or watering flowers when it is very dry are the kind of services that help.
