Our mission

We are a non-denominational, non-profit volunteer organization whose mission is to provide emotional support to those who are lonely, depressed, or suicidal.

Opportunities

Active listening

Opportunities include the crisis line, senior outreach, follow up to individuals after discharge from a medical/behavioral facility following a suicide attempt or suicide crisis, and working with survivors of suicide loss twice a month at support groups.

About us

Founded in 1977, The Samaritans on Cape Cod and the Islands is a non-sectarian, non-profit volunteer organization whose mission is to end suicide by combating suicide risk conditions and easing the impacts of suicidal activity through fostering caring, connection, resilience, and public understanding.
