Our mission

Explore Harwich heritage as we share news, images, and information about what’s going on at Brooks Academy Museum and the Elmer Crowell Barn Museum.

Opportunities

General Volunteer

Volunteers may come once a week, once a month, or however their schedule allows – we are happy to have you here whenever you are available. Duties will include greeting visitors, taking admission, and informing guests about our 2021 exhibits featuring artwork by C.D. Cahoon, the carvings of Elmer Crowell, and of course, Cranberry Culture in Harwich! Training and a handbook will be provided to docents so they can help others learn about Harwich history and the collections of the Harwich Historical Society.
