Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands
Ways to help | Become a BigOur community-based program is our traditional match in which adult mentors are paired with children ages 7-12, and agree to see each other for three hours, a couple of times a month. Mentor 2.0 is a technology-enriched one-to-one youth mentoring program directly targeting high school students. Mentor-mentee pairs build their relationships through weekly online communication and monthly in-person meetings. |

Items we need now | Volunteer MentorsAs the long term impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic play out in our youth, mentoring is needed now more than ever. With a waitlist that hovers at just under 100 (75% boys), the need for volunteers is on-going.The commitment is simple, a few times twice a month, for a minimum of a year is all it takes to make a lasting impact on the life of a child--and your own. How you help | You don’t need super-powers to be someone’s hero…you just need to be you, and be there! Right now, young kids all over the Cape are looking for someone to be a mentor, a guide, a friend- someone who can help them reach their potential. That someone could be you- and it could be the most rewarding thing you’ve ever done. |
