Cape Cod Museum of Natural History volunteers are as precious as our unique vistas. The committed team that makes our museum go consists of teenagers, business professionals, teachers, photographers, scientists, homemakers, artists, students, the newly retired and the longer retired. Each brings their own special contribution to our vibrant programs, exhibits and walks.

We organize two food drives a year –one in August and the other in November. We are always looking for volunteers to help collect and transport food donations.

We also need help Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to noon, with sorting goods, stocking shelves, cleaning inventory and packing grocery bags before distribution days as well as food pick-up at local vendors.

We distribute food to clients 11 times a month–Tuesdays and Thursdays, weekly, plus the second and fourth Friday of the month as well as the third Saturday of the month.

Our baby bird volunteers help raise infant songbirds in three-hour shifts between 6am and 6pm every day. The birds must all be hand-fed a special formula, and be offered appropriate food dishes, such as worms, fruit, veggies, and seed.
